ORDINANCE NO. 86 -84
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
FOR THE WHATCOM COUNTY PHYSICAL PLANT AND
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of Whatcom County, Washington
(the County), has recommended the County undertake certain improvements for the
health, safety and welfare of the occupants of the County nursing home
(Nor - Bell); and
WHEREAS, the improvements consist of heating and hot water system; and
WHEREAS, the cost of replacement of the system is estimated to not
exceed $100,000; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council approved Ordinance No.
authorizing the County Executive to execute a loan from Rainier National Bank in
the amount of $100,000 for the financing of the heating and hot water system
improvements for the Nor -Bell Nursing Home; and
WHEREAS, the proceeds from the loan are required to be deposited in and
the payments to contractors are required to be made from the County Physical
Plant and Facilities Capital Improvement Fund; and
WHEREAS, the County Physical Plant and Facilities Capital Improvement
Fund lacks sufficient appropriation authority to pay contractors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the 1986 County Physical Plant and
Facilities Capital Improvement Fund budget be amended as follows:
