ORDINANCE N0. 86 -80
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 86 -49
ESTABLISHING WHATCOM COUNTY FERRY RATES
WHEREAS, the County Council has introduced an ordinance establishing
new rates for the Lummi Island ferry; and
WHEREAS, the Council's intent is that the new rates shall go into
effect on January 1, 1987; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 86 -49 presently provides for the new ferry rate
to become effective on October 1, 1986;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Ordinance No. 86 -49 shall be
amended as follows:
The new ferry rates shall be effective on January 1, 1987 and the rates in
effect on December 1, 1985,shall be the rates in effect until December 31, 1986
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Whatcom County Council finds that this
ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety
and /or support of County government.
