ORDINANCE NO. 86 -70
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE PLACING OF
STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF HILLSDALE ROAD AND TOAD LAKE ROAD
WHEREAS, IN COMPLIANCE WITH RCW 46.61.100 and RCW 47.36.110 found necessary
and expedient to place traffic control signs on certain county roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and it was found that conditions warrant intersection control modifica-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that intersectional traffic control be
modified at the following location:
1) A stop sign shall be located northbound on Toad Lake Road at Hillsdale
Road.
2) A stop sign shall be located southbound on Toad Lake Road at Hillsdale
Road.
3) The existing yield sign eastbound on Hillsdale Road at Toad Lake Road
shall be removed.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and is hereby directed to
post the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
Section 10.16.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE that the Whatcom County Council, at its meeting
of August 7, 1986, introduced and scheduled for public hearing:
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE PLACING OF STOP SIGNS
AT THE INTERSECTION OF HILLSDALE AND TOAD LAKE ROAD
This proposed ordinance reads as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that intersectional
traffic control be modified at the following location:
1. A stop sign shall be located northbound on Toad
Lake Road at Hillsdale Road.
2. A stop sign shall be located southbound on Toad
Lake Road at Hillsdale Road.
3. The existing yield sign eastbound on Hillsdale
Road at Toad Lake Road shall be removed.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and
is hereby directed to post the appropriate signs and
that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State

Whatcom County Code Section 10.16.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that any taxpayer may appear at
said hearing to be held at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as
possible, on September 4, 1986, in the Council Chambers, second
floor of the County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham,
Washington, and speak for or against the ordinance.
Copies of the ordinance are available for review during
regular office hours in the office of the Clerk of the Council,
second floor, and the Law Library, basement, in the County
Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.
