5 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
FOR BUILDING MAINTENANCE FUND'S 1986 BUDGET

WHEREAS, Building Maintenance Fund, an internal service fund, provides
8 eneral maintenance, janitorial services, and utilities for Whatcom County faci-
9 ities; and
10 WHEREAS, early in 1986 Building Maintenance Fund was charged with the
11 lesponsibility of maintaining the Pt. Roberts jail and the Courthouse parking
12 ot. The jail facility was previously maintained by the Sheriff's Department
13 . nd the parking lot is new for 1986. Revenues and expenditures for maintaining

14 hese facilities were not anticipated in Building Maintenance's 1986 budget; and
r
15 WHEREAS, the 1986 Building Maintenance Fund budget lacks sufficient
16 ppropriation authority to maintain the aforementioned facilities; '
17 BE IT, THEREFORE, ORDAINED that the 1986 Building Maintenance budget

Subject: Building Maintenance Fund Supplemental Budget
Early in 1986 the Building Maintenance Fund was charge with the
responsiblity of providing general maintenance, janitorial service,
and utilities for the Pt. Roberts Jail Facility and maintaining
the Courthouse parking lot.
The purpose of the attached supplemental is to receive appropriation
authority to expend monies received on said services.
The Pt. Roberts Jail Facility consists of two mobile homes and
a holding cell. Utilities for this facility during 1986 are est-
imated at $4,729.00. Office &. Operating supplies and Repair &.
Maintenance, for the jail facility and parking lot, are estimated
at $4,912.00 and $14,734.00 respectfully.
