ORDINANCE NO. 86 -13
AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE
1986 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND,
PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S BUDGET
THEREIN
WHEREAS, the 1986 Whatcom County budget eliminates the Chief
Civil Deputy position effective April 1, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, Proviso (AA) in the 1986 budget ordinance requires "the
Executive in consultation with the County Council shall jointly
prepare and submit the ordinances and documents necessary to
establish an alternative method of managing the Tort Claims fund
and /or other civil functions of the Prosecutor's office pursuant
to RCW 32.200 and present recommendations and necessary documents
prior to March 1, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, an additional increment of time is necessary to develop
any alternatives to the existing tort claims management system;
and,
WHEREAS, the Chief Civil Deputy presently manages the Tort Claims
fund and the County must have a person managing that function;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the 1986 Current Expense
Fund, Prosecuting Attorney's budget therein is hereby revised as
follows:
