AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REVISE THE
1986 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND,
NON - DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET THEREIN
WHEREAS, the arbitration of the disagreements between the County
and Wilcox Construction, Inc. regarding the construction of the
jail facility has been completed; and,
WHEREAS, the County must honor the American Arbitration Associa-
tion Board decision to award Wilcox Construction an amount in
settlement by March 1, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, this deadline places the County in a position that
requires the passage of an emergency ordinance in order to comply
with the deadline;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that the Current Expense Fund,
Non - Departmental Budget therein is hereby revised as follows:
1986 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND,
NON - DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Whatcom County Council finds
that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservaton of
the public peace, health, safety and /or support of County govern-
ment. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval
by the County Executive.
