6 AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT OFF ROAD VEHICLE
PARKS ON PUBLIC LANDS FOR RECREATIONAL
7 PURPOSES IN WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON

WHEREAS, the Off -Road Vehicle Parks for recreational
9 use are a waste of natural resources, such as fossil
fuels, water, fish, forest, and
10
WHEREAS, the existence of such facilities are injurious
11 to the human habitation and the wildlife ecology of the
site(s) and the adjoining area(s),
12
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:

That the establishment of any parks or facilities for the
14
purpose of the use of Off -Road Vehicles on the public lands of
15
hatcom County for recreational purposes is hereby prohibited.
