AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE THE 1987
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND, PUBLIC
DEFENDERS APPROPRIATION THEREIN
ORDINANCE NO. 87 -42
WHEREAS, the Public Defender has an obligation to defend those
6 indigents that are charges with criminal acts; and,
7 WHEREAS, the professional services line item in the detail budget
plan will be depleted in a short period of time because of the
8 unprecedented number of serious felony cases in 1987; and,
9 WHEREAS, it is the County's intent to adequately defend indigents
which will require an additional amount of appropriation authority
10 in 1987;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the 1987 Current Expense Fund
Budget, Public Defender's appropriation therein, is hereby revised
