AN ORDINANCE TO RSYISE THE 1987
ALCOHOL SERVICES FUND APPROPRIATION
(WHEREAS, the 1987 budget plan for the Alcohol Services Fund
anticipated a certain level of revenues from client fees and from
the City of Bellingham; and,
WHEREAS, it is now apparent that those revenue estimates were
overly optimistic, where in fact the number of anticipated clients
to be evaluated is down significantly and the City has reduced its
contributions for alcohol services by over 50 %; and,
WHEREAS, the Alcohol Services Fund is experiencing cash flow
problems and a growing deficit problem; and,
WHEREAS, the financial problem must be dealt with as soon as
p ble to prevent further growth in the deficit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, the Alcohol Services Fund budget
plan is hereby revised as follows:

BS IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that Ordinance 86 -89 is hereby revised by
decreasing the 1987 appropriation authority of the Alcohol
Services Fund by $15,801.
