ORDINANCE NO. 87-1
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF
PLACING STOP AND YIELD SIGNS ON VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, IN COMPLIANCE WITH RCW 46.61.200 and RCW 47.36.110, it is found
necessary and expedient to place traffic control signs on certain county roads;
and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and it was found that various locations warrant intersection control
modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that intersectional traffic control be
modified at the following location:
1) Install a Stop Sign northbound on Sunset Street at Anderson Road,
Section 24, Township 40 North, Range 1 West, W.M.
2) Install a Stop Sign eastbound on Alder Street at Beach Way Drive,
Section 24, Township 40 North, Range 1 West, W.M.
3) Install a Yield Sign eastbound on Holeman Avenue at Birch Bay Drive,
Section 2, Township 39 North, Range 1 West, W.M.
4) Install a Stop Sign westbound on Fortune Lane at Valley View Road,
Section 2, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer be and hereby directed to
post the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
Section 10.16.
