HomeMy WebLinkAboutord1988-103r 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13. 14 15. 16, 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 IIAMBFEES.89 INTRODUCED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: County Executive DATE: December 1, 1988 ORDINANCE NO. 88 -103 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SERVICE FEES AND SETTING A FEE SCHEDULE RELATING TO AMBULANCE SERVICE CHARGES WHEREAS, Ordinance 85 -99 has established ambulance service fees for the last several years; and WHEREAS, the subsidy amount for ambulance service has been determined by the Finance Committees of the City of Bellingham and Whatcom County and has been incorporated into the 1989 budget plan; and WHEREAS, it is now necessary to adjust user rates to raise that portion of the operating funds in order that the County -wide ambulance service is fully funded; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, the Whatcom County Council hereby approves the following fee schedule for ambulance service: A. Base rate plus those charges described in B,C,D,E,F, and G. EMERGENCY MEDICAL: Basic life support (no transport) $ 75 Basic life support transport 200 Basic life support transport (out of county) 250 Advanced life support (no transport) 200 Advanced life support transport 295 Advanced life support transport (out of county) 345 NON EMERGENCY TRANSFERS: Basic life support (county) $150 Basic life support (out of county) I 200 Advanced life support (county) 200 Advanced life support (out of county) 245 B. Mileage per mile, from the point at which the patient is accepted to the point of delivery. $ 5 C. Standby service (per hour) 50 D. Two or more patients carried by one ambulance and additional charge of $75 for each patient above the first patient shall be added to the base rate. This amount shall then be pro -rated among the patients. $ 75 F. Intravenous set -ups, drugs, and disposable supplies to be charged per cost or medicare reimbursement rate. cost /Medicare G. Non - resident and non -owner of real property in Whatcom County user 100 This ordinance supersedes ordinance 85 -99 and becomes effective January 1, 1989. APPROVED this 15th day of December , 1988.
