AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE THE
1988 REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAX
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the County Comprehensive Land Use Plan provides that Whatcom
County shall be the purveyor of water and sewer for the industrial areas and may
provide, directly or through contract, water or sewer for the heavy impact
industrial zone; and
WHEREAS, the County Council authorized the County Executive, on October
6, 1988, to enter into an agreement with Chemco, Inc. for the sale by the County
of nonpotable water for the purposes of fire protection and industrial process-
ing; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the aforementioned contract, the County
agrees to pay 37.5% of the cost of constructing the water facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, the 1988 Real Estate Excise Tax Capital
Improvement Fund budget therein, is hereby revised as follows:
RESOURCES
32600 301 -00 -00 Fund Balance $80,000
EXPENDITURES
32600 594 -34 -00 Capitalized Expenditures
Water Utilities $80,000
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, Ordinance No. 87 -48 is hereby revised by
increasing the appropriation authority of the Real Estate Excise Tax Capital
Improvement Fund $80,000.
