ORDINANCE NO. 88 -59
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF
PLACING STOP SIGNS ON FIR TREE WAY,
CHERRYWOOD AVENUE, EDGEWATER LANE,
AND CLARKSON LANE
WHEREAS, IN COMPLIANCE WITH RCW 46.61.200, it is found necessary and expe-
dient to place traffic control signs on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, an Engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and it was found that various locations warrant intersection control
modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that intersectional traffic control be
modified at the following locations:
1) Install a Stop sign westbound on Fir Tree Way at Austin Street, Section
35, Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
2) Install a Stop sign westbound on Cherrywood Avenue at Willow Wood
Avenue, Section 14, Township 38 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
3) Install a Stop sign northbound on Edgewater Lane at both entrances to
North Shore Drive, Section 26, Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
4) Install a Stop sign eastbound on Clarkson Lane at Northwest Drive,
Section 10, Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to post
the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington
State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
Section 10.16.
