ORDINANCE NO. 88 -48
AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE 1988 SOLID WASTE
FUND BUDGET TO INCREASE APPROPRIATION
AUTHORITY TO PAY PRIOR YEARS' B & 0 TAX
LIABILITY AND TO PAY 1988 EXCISE TAXES
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 87 -48 provided additional appropriation
authority to the Solid Waste Fund for prior year business and occupation tax
liability; and
WHEREAS, an agreement with the Department of Revenue regarding the
Solid Waste Fund's legal liability for business and occupation tax was not
reached until March 1988; and
WHEREAS, there are insufficient funds in the external tax budget line
item to pay prior year business and occupation taxes; and
WHEREAS, revenue from the Cedarville landfill is expected to exceed the
,1988 budget, an additional appropriation is needed to pay the 1988 excise tax
liability;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the 1988 Solid Waste Fund budget
is hereby increased as follows:
RESOURCES:
40100 343 70 01 Solid waste fees - Cedarville $ 4,000
40100 301 00 00 Fund balance 26,000
PROJECTED ADDITIONAL EXPENSES:
40100 537 80 53 External taxes $30,000
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, Ordinance No. 87 -48 is hereby revised by
increasing the appropriation authority of the Solid Waste Fund budget therein
$30,000.
