ORDINANCE NO. 88 -31
AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE THE 1988
NON- DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET, CURRENT
EXPENSE FUND APPROPRIATION
WHEREAS, the State department of employment security conducted an
employment audit for the U.S. social security administration; and,
WHEREAS, it was determined that a number of the County's profes-
sional service contracts from the period 1984 through 1986 were
invalid in terms of the social security definition of employer -
employee relationships; and,
WHEREAS, under those contracts, the County did not contribute the
employer share of social security, since it did not consider these
contractual relationships to be employer - employee relationships;
and,
WHEREAS, now the County must pay the social security administra-
tion both the employer and employee shares of the social security
contribution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED the 1988 Current Expense Fund, Non -
Departmental budget plan therein, is hereby revised as follows:

00120 - 291.80.00.0000 Est. Ending Fund Balance $13,500
Budget Plan Enhancement:
00417 - 513.10.20.0200 Social Security $13,500
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, Ordinance 87 -80 is hereby amended by
adding $13,500 in appropriation authority to the Non - Departmental
appropriation within the Current Expense Fund.
