AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 83 -5 AUTHORIZING
A FEE SCHEDULE
FOR THE WHATCOM COUNTY TREASURER
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council passed Ordinance 83 -5 on
January 6, 1983, establishing a fee schedule for the Whatcom
County Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to clarify the language defining
Application for resale of tax title property; and
WHEREAS, taxpayers are provided with copies of their tax
statements but many still come in to check them in the
Treasurer's office, and the tax records now are boxed and
stored requiring extra staff time for research,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Ordinance 83 -5 is hereby
amended as follows:
Application for resale of tax title $50.00
property (which shall constitute a
bid deposit that will be forfeited
if no bid is submitted on the date
of sale) Bid for County Lands
Checks returned for insufficient funds $10.00
Non - certified copies .25 /ea.
Actual Cost
Tax records search $ 8.00 hr.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that unless specifically mentioned
within the Ordinance, all other terms and conditions of
Ordinance 83 -5 shall remain in full force and effect.
