5 AN ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING
WHATCOM COUNTY CODE 9.32.160 SUBSECTION B
6 WHICH IS RELATED TO UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE OF
FIREARMS AND BOW AREAS; CONCERNING THE
7 WISER LAKE AREA.
8 WHEREAS, The Whatcom County Council has previously passed Ordinance No.
83 -95 November 17, 1983, which established a no- shooting zone in the area of
9 Wiser Lake; and
10 WHEREAS, said ordinance is codified in the Whatcom County Code Section
9.32.160 Subsection B;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Whatcom County Code Section
12 9.32.160 Subsection B be amended as follows:
13. B. This section shall not apply to nor prohibit the discharge of
firearms in the slaughter of cattle, sheep or swine, or the
14 humane dispatch of a diseased or injured animal: or disp�osii�nc
of dogs or other predatory animals in accordance WTtF RRCW
15 16.08.020.
16 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that unless specifically mentioned within this
ordinance, all other terms and conditions of Whatcom County Code Title 9 shall
17 remain in full force and effect.
