AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE THE
1988 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND,
PUBLIC DEFENDER'S APPROPRIATION THEREIN
WHEREAS, the 1988 Public Defender's budget did not incorporate
appropriation authority to hire temporary deputies to handle the
growing caseload; and,
WHEREAS, the County must provide appropriations that allow the
Public Defender to carry out his responsibilities in representing
those indigent persons who are unable to hire their own attorney;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED the 1988 Current Expense Fund,
Public Defender's budget plan therein is hereby revised as
follows:
