ORDINANCE NO. 88-3
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHING THE SPEED LIMIT ON A
PORTION OF SUCIA DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to
establish speed limits on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and
WHEREAS, a review was conducted by the County Sheriff's office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the speed limit be established as
follows:
25 mph on Sucia Drive from Germain Road to a point 850 feet South of
Germain Road, Section 5, Township 38 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to post
the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington
State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
Section 10.04.030.
