ORDINANCE NO. 88 -1
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF
ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON HORTON ROAD,
MANLEY ROAD AND HARBORVIEW ESTATES PLAT -ROADS
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to
establish speed limits on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
office; and
WHEREAS, a review was conducted by the County Sheriff's office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the speed limits be established as
follows:
1) 25 mph on Horton Road from S.R. 539 east, the entire length,
Section 6, Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
2) 25 mph on Manley Road from Pacific Highway north, the entire length,
Section 36, Township 37 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
3) 25 mph on all roadways within the the plat of Harborview Estates,
Section 19, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to post
the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington
State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
Section 10.04.030.
