5 EMERGENCY REVISION TO
6 THE 1989 SELF INSURANCE/
7 FRINGE BENEFITS FUND APPROPRIATION
8 FOR HEALTH BENEFITS COSTS
9 WHEREAS, the 1989 Self Insurance /Fringe Benefits fund budget plan
10 anticipated $640,000 in direct costs; and
11 WHEREAS, that amount will be exceeded by year end; and
12 WHEREAS, it is critical that the County honor it's contractual.
13 obligations in self funding its health care costs;
14 WHEREAS, an emergency exists since there is insufficient time before
15 year's end to follow the regular ordinance introduction and passage
1.6 schedule, with only one meeting remaining this year, and it is
17 imperative that the appropriation be available for year end
18 expenditures.
19 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, the 1989 Self Insurance /Fringe
20 Benefits Fund budget plan is hereby revised as follows:

23 Budget Plan Enhancement:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, ordinance 88 -96 is hereby amended by adding
$80,000 in appropriation authority to the 1989 Self Insurance/ Fringe
Benefits Fund appropriation.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, art emergency does exist and this ordinance
shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval of 1 :11c
Executive; further, the What:com County Council finds that this
ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health, safety and /or support of the government. This
ordinance shall expire on the sixtyfirst day following adoption,
without further action of the Council.
