6 REVISION TO THE 1989
7 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND, NON -
8 DEPARTMENTAL APPROPRIATION THEREIN
9 FOR SEVERANCE PAYOUT
10 WHEREAS, the County is responsible for honoring accrued sick and
11 vacation leave payout for its employees; and
12 WHEREAS, during 1989, a number of long term employees have left
13 County employment, thereby depleting the allocation for such
14 purposes; and
15 WHEREAS, the County must also pay this severance obligation for its
16 employees that become elected officials, since elected officials do
17 not accrue these benefits;
18 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, the 1989 Current: Expense Fund, Non -
19 Departmental budget plan therein is hereby revised as follows:

22 Budoet Plan Enhancements:
23 00417 - 513.10.11.9900 Contingency Payout $24,433
24 00417 - 513.10.20.0100 Retirement 1,494
25 00417- 513.10.20.0200 Social Security 1,836
26 Total Enhancements $27,763
27 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, ordinance 88 -96 is hereby amended by adding
28 $27,763 in appropriation authority to the 1989 Current Expense Fund,
29 Non - Departmental appropriation therein.
