AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE THE 1989
EQUIPMENT RENTAL & REVOLVING FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council at the July 20th, 1989
meeting approved a bid award for the construction of a 4,400
square foot Sheriff's Department evidence storage building
located on the County's Public Works Central Garage site, and
WHEREAS, the Equipment Rental & Revolving Fund included in its
1989 budget a cost estimate of $40,000.00 for the construction
of the evidence storage building; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost to prepare the site and construct
this building will be approximately $140,000.00 dollars; and
WHEREAS, due to the location of the new evidence storage building
the Central Shop facility must be connected to the Norbell Sewer
system prior to the construction of the new facility; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost to connect the Central Shop to the
sewer system is $30,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Equipment Rental &
Revolving Fund Budget is increased as follows:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, Ordinance No. 88.96 is hereby revised by
increasing the appropriation authority of the Equipment Rental &
Revolving Fund budget therein $130,000.00.
