5 REVISION TO 1989 CURRENT
6 EXPENSE FUND, NON- DEPARTMENTAL
7 APPROPRIATION FOR RESTORATION OF
8 ALCOHOL SERVICES FUND BALANCE
9 WHEREAS, the alcohol services fund was eliminated effective January
10 1,1988 and then combined with the Mental Health Fund which was then
11 renamed the Combined Treatment Services Fund under Ordinance 87 -79;
12 and
1.3 WHEREAS, the alcohol service fund liabilities exceeded the available
14 assets by $7,860 upon transfer; and
15 WHEREAS, it is important to hold the former mental health fund
16 harmless from a negative fund balance being brought into the
1 -7 Combined Treatment Services Fund;
18 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council, the
19 1989 Current Expense Fund, Non - Departmental budget plan therein is
20 hereby revised as follows:

23 Budget Plan Enhancement:
24 00453 - 587.14.56.0500 Intfd. Subs. /Comb. Trt. $7,860
25 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council, Ordinance 88-
26 96 is hereby amended by adding $7,860 in appropriation authority to
27 the 1989 Current Expense Fund, Non - Departmental allocation therein.
