ORDINANCE NO. 89 -31
AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
CASH DRAWERS AND A CHANGE FUND
FOR THE TREASURER'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Treasurer's office is the depository for all county
departments and many sub - political districts, and
WHEREAS, it is often necessary to provide change for them, and
WHEREAS, no previous record can be found establishing these funds
and the State Auditor's have requested that it be done,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Whatcom County Council
hereby establishes the following cash drawers and change funds:
Excise /Supervisor Cashier - $1,000.00 Cash Drawer
Cashier' #1 - $1,000.00 Cash Drawer
Cashier #2 - $1,000.00 Cash Drawer
Cashier #3 - $1,000.00 Cash Drawer
Vault - $ 795.00 Change Fund
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all cashiers will be responsible
individually for each of their cash drawers, with the
Excise /Supervisor Cashier responsible for the change fund in the
vault. A list will be maintained in the Treasurer's office naming
each person holding the above positions. Said cash drawers and
change fund shall be constantly maintained at the amount set forth
herein. A daily accounting shall be made of all funds and
reflected in the cashier's daily report form.
