AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH FEE
SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the Health Board Advisory Committee has reviewed the 1991 Health
Department Budget;
WHEREAS, the solid waste program fees should be revised to provide funding
that will cover most of the program costs;
WHEREAS, a mechanism has been developed to provide an equitable
mechanism for the calculation of municipal solid waste permit fees based on volume of
waste received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
the Environmental Health Fee Schedule be revised as follows:

$ 1.80 per ton
Base fee payable upon permit issuance.
Per ton charge based upon MSW received. Payable Quarterly
