Ordinance revising the Current Expefnse Fund, Superior Court appropriation, for pro-
fessional service contracts and miscellaneous items

SUMMARY STATEMENT.
The Assigned Counsel attorneys have had to provide a much greater level of support than
anticipated, and the ad litem and criminal contracts are open ended and also require
additional financial support. This-ordinance will address all of these needs.

ORDINANCE NO. 90 -117
REVISION TO THE 1990 CURRENT
EXPENSE FUND, SUPERIOR COURT
APPROPRIATION THEREIN FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES CONTRACTS AND MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
WHEREAS, the 1990 appropriation for the Superior Court did not anticipate
the level of support necessary for Assigned Counsel contract attorneys; and
WHEREAS, other miscellaneous shortfalls need to be accomodated in the
budget; and
WHEREAS, the County must support the Court in the open ended contracts for
Guardian Ad Litem and Criminal Conflicts;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby revises
the 1990 Superior Court budget plan as follows:
