SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
District Court has had a 30% increase in filings since last year and the budget did not
anticipate this level of activity.. Because the County must fund district court's.activities,
the ordinance grav des- -money to fund the increased costs.

REVISION TO THE 1990 CURRRENT
EXPENSE FUND, DISTRICT COURT APPROPRIATION
THEREIN FOR MISCELLANEOUS OPERATING COSTS
WHEREAS, infraction, DWI, criminal traffic, and criminal non - traffic
filings have increased 30% since this time last year; and
WHEREAS, the 1990 budget did not anticipate this level of activity; and
WHEREAS, the County must fund the Court's required activities;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby revises
the 1990 District Court budget plan as follows:
