SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
There have been more..autopsies requested by law enforcement personnel this year. The
county .is required to pay for these, and there is not sufficient money "_left in the Medical
Examiner's budget to cover this expense. This ordinance rectified this deficit.

REVISION TO THE 1990 CURRENT
EXPENSE FUND, MEDICAL EXAMINER'S
BUDGET THEREIN FOR THE COST OF AUTOPSIES
WHEREAS, the Medical Examiner has been requested to provide autopsies to
a larger number of deceased than in previous years; and
WHEREAS, these autopsies all have cost implications to the Medical
Examiner's budget; and
WHEREAS, the County has a responsibility to pay for all the costs incurred
in autopsies requested by the County's law enforcement personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby revises
the 1990 Current Expense Fund, Medical Examiner's budget plan therein as follows:
