SUMMARY STATEMENT.
The Mount Baker Theater Board of Directors is applying for state grant funding which
requires local matching funds prior to the award. The Council has requested the
administration to prepare.an.ordinance to provide a $50,000 contribution from the
County Convention Center Fund. This ordinance transfers money from the ending fund
balance into:-:the C.onvention•Center Fund, thus making the money available in the
proper fund for the Council's contribution.

REVISION TO THE 1990
CONVENTION CENTER FUND FOR
MT. BAKER THEATER RESTORATIC
WHEREAS, the Mt. Baker Theater Board of Directors has authorized the
application for State grant funding to restore the facade of the theater; and
WHEREAS, the grant will require local matching funds before it is awarded;
and
WHEREAS, the County Council has requested preparation of a proposed
ordinance to provide a $50,000 contribution from the Whatcom County Convention
Center Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Office has determined sufficient fund balance is
available for such an appropriation;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby revises
the 1990 Convention Center Fund budget plan as follows:
RESOURCES:
14100 - 291.80.00.0000 Estimated Ending Fund Balance $50,000
BUDGET PLAN REVISION(S):
14100 - 573.30.53.0000 Capital Contribution $50,000
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that ordinance 89 -105 is hereby amended by adding
$50,000 in appropriation authority to the 1990 Convention Center Fund.
