SUMMARY STATEMENT. -
Sumas River Flood Control Zone District #2 Fund having been established and funded by
general property tax levy,'it is necessary to set up the 1990 Sumas River Flood Control
Zone District #2 Fund budget.

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET FOR THE
SUMAS RIVER FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT #2 FUND
WHEREAS, a resolution in the matter of establishing a Flood Control Zone District to improve
the flood control and drainage facilities in the Sumas River area was approved on the 21st day of August 1972;
and
WHEREAS, a general property tax levy was authorized by voters of the zone to provide funds for
flood control improvement projects within the zone; and revenue from the general property tax levy will be
deposited into the Sumas River Flood Control Zone District #2 Fund in 1990; and
WHEREAS, project costs for flood control improvements will be incurred in 1990 with both the
Washington State Department of Ecology and the Whatcom County River Improvement Fund sharing in the costs of
the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that the 1990 Sumas River Flood Control Zone District #2 Fund
budget is hereby established as follows:

343.13.0000 Flood Control Fees & Charges /River Improvement Fund $ 4,000
