SUMMARY STATEMENT'
The amount now allowed in the Auditor's advance travel expense account is not sufficieirC
to efficiently meet the county's needs. Therefore the-auditor requests that the amount
be increased to $20,000.. This ordinance accomplishes that.

ORDINANCE NO. 90 -88
REVISION IN THE AMOUNT OF CASH
RESERVED FOR THE WHATCOM COUNTY
ADVANCE TRAVEL EXPENSE ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, Ordinance 80 -28 established the current cash balance of $9,000
for the Whatcom County Advance Travel Expense Account; and
WHEREAS, that balance has become inadequate and the Auditor has requested
the amount be raised to $20,000; and
WHEREAS, the increased amount will allow for more efficient administrative
processing of advance travel requests;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby repeals
Ordinance 80 -28 and increases the Whatcom County Advance Travel Expense Account
cash balance from $9,000 to $20,000. The County Treasurer is authorized to issue
a Treasurer's check in the amount of $11,000 from the Current Expense Fund to
the Advanced Travel Account.
