Ordinance or Resolution Number. .0 90 -80 SIGNMORA.724 SPONSORED BY: HANSEY PROPOSED BY: PLANNING INTRODUCTION DATE: 7 -24 -90 ORDINANCE NO. 90 -80 EMERGENCY ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE MORATORIUM ON PROCESSING CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATIONS FOR OFF - PREMISE ADVERTISING SIGNS FROM JULY 31 TO AUGUST 31, 1990 WHEREAS, by Ordinance 90 -03 the Whatcom County Council established a moratorium on processing conditional use applications for off - premise advertising signs to July 31, 1990; and WHEREAS, the County Council had a hearing on placing restrictions on off - premise advertising on July 10, 1990. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL: 1. The moratorium on off - premise advertising signs imposed by Ordinance 90 -38 is hereby continued from July 31, 1990 to August 31, 1990. 2. The Council finds the public health, safety and general welfare are promoted by the above change. 3. Adjudication of invalidity of any of the sections, clauses, or provisions of this Ordinance shall not affect or impair the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so declared to be invalid.
