SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The ordinance contains many adjustments to departmental budgets to provide for increases as a result
of recently negotiated Teamster's contracts during 1990 (for union employees) and the increases for
exempt employees effective July 1. Neither increase was provided for in the 1990 budget.

ORDINANCE NO. 90 -55
REVISIONS TO THE 1990 COUNTY
BUDGET FOR SALARY AND BENEFITS
WHEREAS, the recently negotiated Teamster's contracts provide increases
in salaries for certain union employees during 1990; and
WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended an increase in salaries for
the exempt employees effective July 1st; and
WHEREAS, neither of these across the board salary increases has been
programmed in the 1990 County budget;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby amends
Ordinance 89 -105 by adding the appropriations as follows:
