Ordinance to revise the Cooperative Extension Office's budget to allow for
unanticipated expenses caused by new Master projects and a photocopying machine
inadequacy.

SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
Two new programs, and a major move from the Annex by Northwest Regional Council have
enormously impacted the Extension Office's budget. This ordinance injects new resources
into their budget to compensate for those needs.

REVISION TO THE 1990
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND, COOPERATIVE
EXTENSION APPROPRIATION THEREIN FOR
NEW GRANT RELATED PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, the Cooperative Extension Office has received approval for
participation in two new County grant- funded programs; and
WHEREAS, the Watershed Master Program and the Master Composter Project
require appropriations not anticipated by the adopted 1990 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Regional Council's move out of the Courthouse annex
has impacted the Cooperative Extension's copying ability;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby revises
the 1990 Current Expense Fund, Cooperative Extension Office budget plan as
follows:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that ordinance 89 -105 is hereby amended by adding
$29,845 in appropriation authority to the 1990 Current Expense Fund, Cooperative
Extension Office therein.
