Revision to the Physical Plant and Capital Facilities Fund to enable the upgrade to
the ventilation, heating and air conditioning in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to
take place. Bids came in higher than budgeted for.

SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The Prosecuting Attorney's office is in great need of an upgrade to its heating, ventilation
and air conditioning system and the originally anticipated price tag for this of $45,000
was not sufficient. We are recommending 'that the budget be revised to allow XXX this im-
portant project to go forward immediately. Essentially, the bids came in much"ligher than
was anticipated when this project was placed in the 1990 budget.

REVISION TO THE 1990
PHYSICAL PLANT AND CAPITAL
FACILITIES FUND APPROPRIATION
FOR UNANTICIPATED REMODELING EXPENSES
WHEREAS, the 1990 Physical Plant and Capital Facilities Fund appropriation
anticipated a $45,000 cost for the upgrade to the heating, ventilation and air
conditioning system in the Prosecuting Attorney's office area; and
WHEREAS, the lowest acceptable bid for that project requires additional
appropriation authority; and
WHEREAS, several other projects were not anticipated in the 1990
appropriation including the improvements to the emergency management center and
the remodel of the former Support Enforcement Space for the Planning Department;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to immediately proceed
with completion of these projects;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council hereby revises
the 1990 Physical Plant and Capital Facilities Fund budget plan as follows:

32800 - 291.80.00.0000 Estimated Ending Fund Balance $31,515
32800 - 387.10.00.0000 Residual Equity Trans. /Emer. Serv. 2,000
Total Resources $33,515
BUDGET PLAN REVISION(S):
32807 - 594.18.00.0000 General Courthouse Improvements $33,515
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that ordinance 89 -105 is hereby.amended by adding
$33,515 in appropriation authority to the 1990 Physical Plant and Capital
Facilities Fund.
