Ozdinance to increase the level of funding for animal control services so that service
can be increased to fifty hours of service per week in an expanded area.

SUMMARY STATEMENT,•
The original appropriation for animal control only planned for 40 hours per week of
service in a limited service area. At:the request of the Council Finance Committee,
this appropriation request will allow the service area to be expanded and 50 rather than
only 40 hours a week of service to be provided.
There will be adequate unencumbered fund balance at the end of 1989 to allow for the
funding of this request.

REVISION TO THE 1990 CURRENT EXPENSE
FUND, NON - DEPARTMENTAL APPROPRIATION
THEREIN FOR ANIMAL CONTROL PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the 1990 Current Expense Fund appropriation for animal control
services anticipated forty hours of services to a limited service area;
WHEREAS, the Council Finance Committee has requested the Executive office
prepare a supplemental appropriation request to expand the service area county -wide
and hours of service available to fifty each week; and
WHEREAS, this level of service will more adequately serve the citizens of
Whatcom County;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED the Whatcom County Council
hereby revises the 1990 Current Expense Fund, Non - Departmental allocation for
Animal Control Purposes as follows:
RESOURCES:
00120 - 291.80.00.0000 Est. Ending Fund Bal. $8,600
BUDGET PLAN ENHANCEMENT:
00430 - 539.30.41.0000 Animal Control Serv. $8,600
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that ordinance 89 -105 is hereby amended by
adding $8,600 in appropriation authority to the 1990 Current Expense Fund, Non -
Departmental allocation therein for animal control services.
