SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The purpose of the Ordinance is to pay off the remaining balance on the lease- purchase
contract for the Emergency Management Services office phone system.

REVISION TO THE 1990
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FUND
APPROPRIATION FOR PURCHASE OF
TELEPHONE SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the current phone system for the Emergency Management staff
was purchased in 1988 on a five year lease purchase contract at 10% interest; and
WHEREAS, it is beneficial for the County to pay the remaining balance on
this lease purchase obligation in full and therefore reduce the debt commitment of
the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council
that the 1990 Emergency Management Fund budget plan is hereby revised as follows:

Budget Plan Enhancement:
16703 - 594.25.64.0000 Machinery & Equipment
$2,900
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, ordinance 89 -105 is hereby amended by
adding $2,900 in appropriation authority to the 1990 Emergency Management Fund.
