This ordinance adds the first Tuesday of every month as a regular meeting;
the first meeting will involve mainly Committee of the Whole items.

8 WHEREAS, Whatcom County Ordinance 90 -6 set the second and fourth
9 Tuesdays of each month as regular Council meetings; and

11 WHEREAS, Council has determined that a third regular meeting would be
12 beneficial for handling the volume of items requiring Council action and for discussing
13 matters that normally would be scheduled before a Committee of the Whole;
14
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council
16 that Ordinance 90 -6, which amends Chapter 2 of the Whatcom County Code, shall be
17 amended as follows:

19 2.02.010 Meetings -- Times. A. The regular meeting time of the council
20 shall be the .': second and fourth Tuesday of each month at seven
21 p.m. in the Whatcom County Courthouse, unless decided otherwise by
22 the Council. Special meetings may be called by the chairperson of the
23 council as required, provided proper public notice and notice to council
24 members is given.
