Appropriates $5,000 from estimated ending fund balance of Current Expense to
the professional services account in-order to hire Riddell, Williams, Bullitt &
Walkinshaw to defend the Medical Waste Initiative ordinance.

REVISION TO THE 1990
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND, COUN'T'Y
COUNCIL APPROPRIATION THEREIN FOR LEGAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has determined it will enter into an
agreement with the law firm of Riddel, Williams, Bullitt & Walkinshaw to defend the
medical waste ordinance on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it will reimburse the law firm for
certain court costs, not to exceed $5,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council
that the following revision to the 1990 Council budget plan is hereby approved:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, ordinance 90 -105 is hereby amended by
adding $5,000 in appropriation authority to the 1990 Current Expense Fund, County
Council budget therein.
