ORDINANCE NO. 93 -037
ORDERING THE CLOSURE OF THE ALLEY LYING
SOUTH OF LOT 9, BLOCK 3, TOWN OF DEMING
AT ITS KAREN STREET END
WHEREAS, Whatcom County government has been requested by the owner-of Lot 9,
Block 3, Town of Deming to close the alley lying adjacent to the south line of said Lot
9 at its Karen Street end, and
WHEREAS, the closure is requested because large trucks and motorcycles are utilizing
said alley as a through alley, and
WHEREAS, trash is being discarded in said alley, and
WHEREAS, through pedestrian traffic interferes with residential usage on said Lot 9,
and
WHEREAS, the County Council had a Hearing on the proposed closure at its June 22,
1993 meeting and is authorized to close the alley according to the provisions of RCW
36.32.120.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
that the Administration is directed to allow the alley south of Lot 9, Block 3, Town of
Deming, to be closed at its Karen Street end.
