various County Roads. We have received a letter from Burlington Northern
Railroad, stating their abandonment of the tracks on Hampton Road.
Engineering determined that this location no longer warrants stop signs.

ORDINANCE NO. 93 -013
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF
REMOVING STOP SIGNS ON HAMPTON ROAD
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found
necessary and expedient to remove traffic control signs on certain County Roads;
and
WHEREAS, upon notification from the Burlington Northern Railroad that they
have abandoned the two railroad crossings on the Hampton Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that stop signs eastbound and
westbound on Hampton Road at the Burlington Northern railroad crossings be
removed; Section 19, Township 40 North, Range 4 East,. W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed
to remove the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County. Sheriff and the
Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance hereby amend Whatcom County Code Section
10.16.
