SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The supplemental budget ordinance appropriates Bond Issue proceed monies and Road Fund Equity.
Road Fund Equity will be used to complete a transportation plan as an element of the Comprehensive
Plan. The proceeds from the sale of Bonds will be used to provide a portion of the funds required for
the following:
1) Purchase and install additional equipment to complete integration of the County's various phone
system into a single system.
2) Purchase modular and stand -alone furnishings for the County Courthouse /Administration
Building.
3) Purchase and furnish a mobile home to replace existing Sheriffs Deputy's living quarters at
Point Roberts.
4) Acquire and remodel space and purchase equipment to establish a County morgue.
5) Remodel County Buildings and facilities as necessary to comply with the requirements of the
Americans with Disabilities Act.
6) Remodel existing County -owned building (previously used as a nursing home) into office space
to be used for various County departments.
7) Bond issuance costs and contingency. '

ORDINANCE NO. 93 -011
AMENDMENT TO THE 1993 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the 1993 budget was approved November, 1992; and, -
WHEREAS, changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 1993
budget; and,
WHEREAS, those modifications have been assembled here for deliberation by
the Whatcom County Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
the 1993 Whatcom County budget ordinance 92 -89 is hereby amended by adding the
following amounts to the departments included therein:

Total Current Expense 151,600
Other Funds
Physical Plant 235,000
Courthouse Expansion 1,761,537
Road Fund 240,000
Paths & Trails 1,600
Total Other Funds 2,238,137
