Council approved dispute resolution center, in concept, on December 8, and by that ordinance assessed the filing fee
surcharges to fund the services. Ordinance authorized Executive to negotiate the appropriate service contract and
work plan, to be presented to the Council for final approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 93 -007
APPROVAL OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICES PLAN
AND
REVISION TO THE 1993 CURRENT EXPENSE FUND,
SUPERIOR COURT BUDGET THEREIN,
TO FUND
DISPUTE RESOLUTION CENTER
WHEREAS, the County Council has heretofore, by its Ordinance No. 92 -092,
assessed filing fee surcharges for the District Court, authorized by RCW 7.75, for the
purpose of funding dispute resolution center services within Whatcom County and the County
Executive has negotiated an agreement with the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, a non-
profit corporation, to provide the services described in RCW 7.75, which agreement includes
a plan for the providing of those services,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
County Executive is hereby authorized to sign the agreement between Whatcom Dispute
Resolution Center and Whatcom County, providing for dispute resolution services; and,
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the Whatcom County Council approves the
dispute resolution services plan a part of the agreement to be entered into between the
Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center and Whatcom County; and,
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the 1993 Current Expense Fund, Superior Court
budget plan therein is hereby revised as follows:
