Supplemental Budget Ordinance No. 9 for the Flood Control Zone District fund appropriates $434,000 from
FENIA grant revenue for an Alternate Project: 1) floodplain base mapping, 2) floodplain hydraulic modeling,
3) early flood warning system, 4) public education program -flood hazard management, and 5) river emergency
'sponse and maintenance equipment (see background documentation).
This supplemental also appropriates $250,000, a transfer in from the Flood Control Zone District fund, for the
purchase of an excavator to replace existing equipment.

ORDINANCE NO. 94 -057
AMENDMENT NO. 9 TO THE 1994 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the 1994 budget was approved February 8, 1994; and,
WHEREAS, changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 1994
budget; and,
WHEREAS, those modifications have been assembled here for deliberation by the
Whatcom County Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
1994 Whatcom County budget ordinance 94 -009 is hereby amended by adding the following
amounts to the departments included therein:
Current Expense Fund:
Total Current Expense 0
Other Funds:
Flood Control Zone District 184,000
ER &R Fund 59,034
Total Other Funds 243,034
Total Supplemental 243,034
