JMMARY:
The present speed limit should be changed to 25 mph due to the residential and narrow nature of this short
road.

1 ORDINANCE NO. 94-052
2 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT
3 ON EDGEWATER LANE
4 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to
5 establish speed limits on County roads; and
6 WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
7 office;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
9 speed limit on Edgewater Lane be established as follows:
10 25 mph for the for its entire length of 0.18 miles.
11 Located within Section 26, Township 38 North, Range 3 East of W.M.
12 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install
13 the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol
14 be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
,5 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section
16 10.04.030.
17 ADOPTED this 27th day of Sept. , 1994.
