ORDINANCE NO. 94 -021
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING INSTALLING STOP SIGNS
ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary.
and expedient to modify traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's office;
and it is found that conditions warrant intersectional control modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
intersectional traffic control be modified at the following locations:
1) Install a stop sign southbound on Bellaire Way at West Smith Road; Section
27, Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
2) Install a stop sign northbound on Maralee Lane at Bellaire Way; Section 27,
Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
3) Install a stop sign westbound on Maralee Lane at Bellaire Way; Section 27,
Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
4) Install a stop sign southbound on Kaitlyn Court at Maralee Way; Section 27,
Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
5) Install a stop sign westbound on Park Street at Paradise Drive; Section 22,
Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
6) Install a stop sign eastbound on Park Street at Abbey Road; Section 22,
Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
7) Install a stop sign northbound on Abbey Road at Paradise Road; Section 22,
Township 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
8) Install a stop sign northbound on Roma Court at Roma Road; Section 15,
Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
9) Install a stop sign northbound on Birch Bay Drive at Harborview Road;
Section 30, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.

1 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install
2 the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol
3 be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
4 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section
5 10.16.
6 ADOPTED this 5th day of APr" , 1994.
