INTRODUCTION DATE: 3/22/94
1 ORDINANCE NO. 94 -020
2 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS
3 ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
4 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to
5 establish speed limits on certain County roads; and
6 WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
7 office;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
9 speed limits be established as follows:
10 1) 25 mph on all roads within the plat of Bellaire Estates; Section 27, Township
11 39 North, Range 2 East, W.M.
12 2) 25 mph on all roads within the.plat of Birch Bay View; Section 23, Township
13 40 North -, Range 1 West, W.M.
14 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install
15 the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol
16 be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
17 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section
18 10.04.030.
19 ADOPTED this 5th day of APril , 1994.
