Summary— The County Council is authorized to establish speed limits on certain County Roads.
An Engineering study has been conducted determining that a speed limit of 25 mph
should be established on Sucia Drive.

7 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF
8 ESTABLISHING THE SPEED LIMIT ON SUCIA DRIVE

10 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415
11 to establish speed limits on certain County roads; and
12
13 WHEREAS, an engineering study has been conducted by the County
14 Engineer's office and reviewed by the Sheriff's office.

16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the speed limits be established
17 as follows:

19 1) 25 mph on Sucia Drive for the entire length, Section 5 and 8, Township 38
20 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
21
22 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed
23 to post the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the
24 Washington State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.

26 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code
17 Section 10.04.030.
