RESOLUTION NO. 79--43
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE FORMATION
OF THE NORTHWEST PARK AND RECREATION DIS-
TRICT NO. 2
WHEREAS, by Resolution of the County Council of Whatcom
County, Washington, an election was called.to determine whether
or not the voters xesiding in a proposed Northwest Park and Recrea-
tion District No. 2 favored the formation of said district; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the said resolution,.proper notice
of said election, as required by.law, was given; and
I WHEREAS, the returns of the election for the formation of
a Recreation District in the Blaine School District area have been
jcanvassed, by the Auditor of V+hatcom County; and
WHEREAS, of the votes cast on the proposition for the

formation of a Recreation District, 456 votes were cast in favor
of the organization of said district and 281 votes were cast
against. the .recration district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Northwest Park
and. Recreation Distrxi.ct No. 2, is now a duly organized Recreation
District under the laws of the State of Washington, with bounda-
ries est,ab.lished and defined as follows:

Beginning at the northwest corner of Whatcom County and run -
ning east along the International Boundary Line, being the
north line of Whatcom County, to the north -south center line
of Section 31, Towhship 41 North, Range 2 East; thence
south to the center of Section 6, Township 40 North, Range
2 East; thence west to the center of Section 2, Township
40 North, Range 1 East;.thence south to the southeast corner
of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of Section
11, Township 40 North, Range 1 East; thence west to the
southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the northwest
quarter of Section.10, Township 40 North, Range .l East;
thence, south to the center of Section 15, Township 40 North,
Range 1 East; thence west to the center of Section 17, Town-
ship 40 North, Range 1 East; thence south along the center
lines of Section 17, 20, 29, and 32, Township 40 North,
Range 1 East and Section 5 and 8, Township 39 North, Range
1 East to the south line of Section 8, Township 39 North,
Range 1 East; thence west to the northeast corner of the
northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 17,
Township 39 North, Range 1 East; thence south to the southea�
corner of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of
Section 17, Township 39 North, Range 1 East; thence west
to the southwest corner of the northwest quarter of the nortl
west quarter of Section 17, Township 39 North, Range 1 East;
thence south to the southeast corner of fractional Section
19, Township 39 North, Range 1 East; thence southwesterly
at right angles to the government meander line to the west-
erly boundary of Whatcom County; thence northwesterly along
the boundary of Whatcom County to the north line thereof
and the place of beginning.
EXCEPT FOR: The area contained in Point Roberts Township,
being located in Township 40 and 41, Range 3 West, W.M.
All situate within Whatcom County, Washington.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following are the duly elect(
Commissioners-of Northwest Park and Recreation District, No. 2:
